NOTES: William S. Halstead (b. 1796) is a veteran of the War of 1812. The Halstead family markers are located near the east stonewall in the cemetery next to the church, about one third the way down. His marker was recently cleaned by a volunteer, but not his brother Jacob’s which is just to the left of his.
Please note: Jacob and William Halstead’s father’s name was Jacob, and their mother’s name was Mary, but the gravestones photographed are not the parents, but William’s brother and sister-in-law, Jacob (b. 1791) and Mary (b. 1794).
